Dr. Jeffrey Wallentine, MD, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a specialization in sports medicine, brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to his practice. With a Bachelor of Science in zoology and physical education from Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine, he pursued further training through a surgery internship at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center and a sports medicine fellowship at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in California. Beyond his medical career, Dr. Wallentine served as a military captain for both the United States Air Force and the Utah Army National Guard. Known for his dedication to patient care, he ensures each individual feels heard and empowered in their treatment journey, prioritizing education and autonomy. Outside of medicine, he cherishes time with his family, engages in sports, and actively contributes to his community and church.

Peter A. Ririe is a highly skilled ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology, affiliated with American Fork Hospital and Utah Valley Hospital. Fluent in both Armenian and English, he caters to the healthcare needs of older adults aged 65 and above. Dr. Ririe completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2013, followed by an internship in Transitional Year at John Peter Smith Hospital in 2014. His expertise was further honed through a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern in 2017, leading to his board certification in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2018. Dr. Berry, originally from the Pacific Northwest, discovered his passion for podiatry while studying at Brigham Young University. Falling in love with Utah during his time there, he pursued his medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Following graduation, he completed a comprehensive surgical residency in Youngstown, Ohio, acquiring expertise in all aspects of foot care and earning an advanced rear foot surgery certificate. Board qualified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery, including the ankle, Dr. Berry is dedicated to his patients, taking the time to establish meaningful relationships and tailor individualized treatment plans. His greatest joy lies in witnessing patients pursue their passions without pain, reflecting his genuine commitment to their well-being.

Dr. Austin Woolley, an accomplished ophthalmologist based in Provo, Utah, is affiliated with several hospitals in the region, including Intermountain Health Sevier Valley Hospital and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. With 6-10 years of experience, he earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, specializing in ophthalmology. Dr. Nathan Lambert, MD is an ophthalmology specialist in Provo, UT and has over 6 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from UNIVERSITY OF UTAH in 2016.

Jason Nakken is a Pain Medicine specialist and an Anesthesiologist in Provo, Utah. His top areas of expertise are Chronic Pain and Sacroiliac Joint Disease. Dr. Nakken is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Paul Deramo is our newest addition to Utah Valley Plastic Surgery. After spending several years away from Utah at school and beginning his medical career, Dr. Deramo and his family have returned here to live closer to family and the Wasatch mountains that they love.

Dr. Bower is a highly qualified pediatric dentist, this practitioner received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2010, followed by specialized training in Pediatric Dentistry at the same institution in 2012. Committed to maintaining the highest professional standards, the dentist is an active member of key dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. J Riley Stringham, MD received his Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University and his Medical Degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. A postgraduate residency was completed at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in anesthesiology. He relocated to North Carolina in pursuit of a subspecialty fellowship in pain management at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in conjunction with Carolinas Pain Institute. He is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. Dr. Stringham is board-certified in addiction medicine and licensed to prescribe Suboxone.

Dr. Ward specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal and external eye diseases, cataracts, ocular surface disease, and surgical correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Cornea Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the Utah Ophthalmology Society and the Iowa Eye Association. He has a special appointment as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. A native of Salt Lake City, he and his wife, Sara, have five children.

Dr. Ward is committed to international eyecare and works regularly with The Luke Commission in eSwatini to provide medical and surgical services. He has provided free medical care in Peru, Nepal, eSwatini, Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Dr. Nathan Smith, the founder of Smart Pediatric Dentistry, is a distinguished board-certified pediatric dental specialist. Raised in Idaho Falls as the eighth child in a family of thirteen, Dr. Smith's commitment to children's health led him to earn his dental degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from The Ohio State University's College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he relocated his family to Colorado to complete a two-year specialty training in pediatric dentistry. In 2004, Dr. Smith established Smart Pediatric Dentistry, which has since become the premier pediatric dental group in Utah County. Known for his kind demeanor and fluency in Spanish, Dr. Smith ensures that his patients feel comfortable under his care. Beyond his professional endeavors, his love for the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, biking, and traveling, complements his dedication to family, shared with his wife Tiffany and their five children.

Dr. Mason A. Schmutz, MD, is a highly skilled ophthalmologist with a broad practice encompassing general ophthalmology, diabetic eye treatment, routine vision screenings, and the prescription of contacts and glasses. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, he brings a wealth of expertise to his patients. Dr. Schmutz earned his Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and pursued his medical education at the Boston University School of Medicine. His commitment to excellence in ophthalmology led him to the University of Texas Health Science Center for his Ophthalmology Residency, followed by a Glaucoma Fellowship at the University of California Irvine. With a comprehensive background and training, Dr. Schmutz specializes in the surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts, demonstrating a dedication to providing advanced and comprehensive eye care services.

Dr. Ollerton, a distinguished podiatric surgeon, graduated from Brigham Young University before earning his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from The University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (now Des Moines University) in Des Moines, Iowa. Following this, he completed an extensive residency in foot and ankle surgery in Loma Linda, California. Board-certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. Ollerton played a key role in establishing the Foot and Ankle Clinics of Utah upon returning to Utah County. He serves as the medical director of the premiere wound clinic at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and is a diplomate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Actively engaged in medical associations, he is a member of both the Utah and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Ollerton's expertise extends beyond local boundaries, as he has lectured on foot and ankle conditions and surgery nationwide, reflecting his dedication to serving the people of Utah and surrounding counties.

Dr. Myers specializes in comprehensive eye care including the diagnosis and management of cataracts, pterygium, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. 

He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Utah Ophthalmology Society and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He has a special appointment as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. McKell, a Utah native, discovered his passion for medicine early in life, influenced by his father's profession as a dentist and the aspirations of his two brothers in healthcare. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from Brigham Young University, he pursued his Doctorate at the California College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in 1991. Following a Podiatric Surgery Residency in Denver, Colorado, Dr. McKell became Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Serving as Department Chairman of Podiatric Medicine at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, he is known for his meticulous attention to detail and accurate diagnoses. Dr. McKell's commitment extends beyond the clinic, as he and his wife actively participate in humanitarian work in the Dominican Republic. Specializing in treating a diverse range of foot and ankle problems, he is a favorite among patients, offering solutions for sport injuries, ingrown toenails, diabetes, heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, nail fungus, and warts. As a partner in the Foot and Ankle Clinics of Utah with offices from Lehi to Payson, Dr. McKell covers a significant part of Utah County, providing surgical procedures when necessary at various locations throughout the valley.

I grew up in Brigham City, Utah, where, as a youth and avid scouter, I was inspired to become a dentist by my Scoutmaster. I set my sights on dentistry and began preparing for this career as early as high school and continued on to Utah State University studying biology, chemistry, and public health. I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, and pediatric specialty training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center.

I was 12 years old when I decided I wanted to be a dentist. I was blessed to have a mother who was a dental hygienist that quit her own practice of dentistry to be my mom but never lost her love of the profession. I had great friends and examples that encouraged my education and dreams. My college years allowed me to pursue my love and amazement of the human body, the relationships of loving people and the environment that surrounds us.

Dr. Hoyal is a native of Orem and enjoys an active Utah lifestyle. As one who loves to hike, ski, mountain bike, and exercise he understands how important healthy feet are. Dr. Hoyal is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle care including reconstructive surgery, wound care, and sports injuries. He also treats more common problems including corns and calluses, ingrown toenails, warts, and flat feet. Whether performing reconstructive surgery or correcting an ingrown toenail, Dr. Hoyal’s goal is the same: help you return to your activities free from pain.

Dr. Faber is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with a special Certification in Pain Medicine. He is also board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Faber is board-certified in addiction medicine and licensed to prescribe Suboxone. He has been practicing medicine since 1983 and in Utah Valley since 1998.

As a plastic surgeon, my goal is to afford patients the chance to achieve their desired results with surgery. Whether it’s restoring the body after changes from childbirth, weight loss, or assisting them in enhancing the body they have, my end goal is to make a difference in my patients’ lives to gain renewed confidence.

Scott Evans, MD, received his Doctor of Medicine, with honors in research, from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of New Mexico and received his Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship—Hand and Upper Extremity— from the University of Virginia. Since completing his education, Dr. Evans has contributed to a number of publications and presentations on topics including neuropathy and orthopedic fractures. As a medical professional, Dr. Evans gained valuable experience by practicing orthopedic surgery for almost 7 years at OrthoArizona in Phoenix.

Dr. Evans is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has also received his Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He speaks conversational Spanish.

In his free time, Dr. Evans enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. His personal interests include reading, traveling, golfing, mountain biking, playing basketball, running, and snowboarding.

Dr. Darren Chamberlain, DDS, is a highly skilled and compassionate pediatric dentist with a diverse and accomplished background. After earning his Psychology degree from Brigham Young University, Dr. Chamberlain pursued his dental education at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Following dental school, he completed a rigorous 2-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University in New York City, equipping him with specialized knowledge and hands-on experience to address the unique dental needs of infants, children, adolescents, and individuals with special health care needs. Dr. Chamberlain is not only dedicated to his private practice but is also actively involved in humanitarian efforts, volunteering his time and skills with organizations such as Give Kids A Smile. He has made a global impact by providing dental care to children in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Grenada. Additionally, Dr. Chamberlain holds leadership roles, serving in the Utah Dental Association Presidency, as a Board Member at Riverwoods Surgical Center, and on the Board of the Share A Smile Foundation. His commitment to excellence in pediatric dentistry and his contributions to community service showcase Dr. Chamberlain's exemplary dedication to the well-being of children and the dental profession.

Dr. Clark S. Ashby is an accomplished anesthesiologist dedicated to the well-being of his patients. With a focus on anesthesiology, he is associated with Utah Valley Hospital, where he caters to the healthcare needs of adults aged 19 to 64 and older adults over 65. Dr. Ashby completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at St. Louis University in 1993, followed by an internship in Transitional Year at St. John's Mercy Hospital in 1994. His expertise was further honed through residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, culminating in 1997.
